Study Visa
The quest for attaining academic excellence and global expertise drives many students to pursue higher education in countries abroad. Countries like Australia and Canada have also relaxed their visa rules and opened doors to international students willing to pursue higher education. One of the popular visas for studying in Australia is the Student Visa Subclass 500. This Student visa allows international students to live in Australia for up to 5 years to undertake full-term education and training in Australia.
Work Visa
If you want to spend time working in Australia, you will need a work visa. The type of visa you may get will depend on how long you want to stay, and you will likely need an occupation on a skills shortage list.
The Australian government has separated the work migration program into the following categories:
- Regional Migration
- Visas for Innovation
- Short Stay Work Visas
- Temporary Work Visas
- Permanent Work Visas
General Skilled Migration
This Category is for Skilled Professionals with a good English language command and have qualifications and skills for an occupation listed on Short Term, Medium & Long Term Occupation Lists. Since workers are in great demand in Australia, anyone meeting these criteria can Submit an Expression of Interest (EOI) for a Visa.
Family and Partner Migration
Australian citizens and permanent residents have several visa options to bring their partners, family, or children to Australia on a permanent or temporary visa.
Skilled Independent Visa
Skilled Independent Visa subclass 189 is an offspring of the General Skilled Migration Program. It is a point-based visa designed to attract skilled workers not sponsored by an Australian employer, a state or territory, or a family member. This permanent visa allows you to live and work permanently anywhere in Australia. Eligible family members are also entitled to be included in your application.
Skilled Nominated Visa
The Skilled Nominated Visa Subclass 190 is a point-based visa designed for those highly skilled workers who are nominated by the Australian state or territory. In other words, those foreign national skilled workers with their occupation mentioned in the Australian Occupation List are considered eligible. The holder of this visa is allowed to permanently live and work in Australia. They can also include the eligible family members in the application.
Skilled Work Regional (Provisional) Visa
The Skilled Work Regional (Provisional) Visa subclass 491 is an Australian visa that enables skilled people with their families to live, work, and study in the designated regional areas of Australia for a span of 5 years. It is a provisional visa. After 3 years of issuing this visa, the holder will be eligible to apply for Permanent Residence.
