The Skilled Nominated Visa Subclass 190 is a point based visa has been designed for those high skilled workers who are nominated by the Australian state or territory. In other words, those foreign national skilled workers with their occupation mentioned in the Australian Occupation List are considered eligible. The holder of this visa is allowed to permanently live and work in Australia. He/She is also allowed to include the eligible family members in the application.
It was in the year 2012-2013 this Skilled Nominated Visa Subclass 190 was introduced in order to replace the two existing Offshore Skilled Sponsored visa subclass 176 and the Onshore subclass 886 visa.
It is important to note that for the submission of a valid application for this visa, a submission of an Expression of Interest through SkillSelect is crucial. This can be done in or outside Australia. If you fulfil the state requirements for this visa and are deemed qualified to be nominated, then you will receive an Invitation to Apply from the Australian Government.
