Ontario held a new draw under Express Entry Human Capital Priorities Stream
On September 26, a new Ontario Express Entry draw was held under the Human Capital Priorities stream of the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP). 1,696 invitations were sent under this for permanent residency. Candidates with a comprehensive ranking system (CRS) score between 350-462 and work experience in the specific national occupational classification (NOC) codes received an invitation
Which program was targeted for this draw?
This round of invitations focused on candidates with experience in the below-mentioned healthcare occupations:
- NOC 31102 – General practitioners and family physicians
- NOC 31300 – Nursing coordinators and supervisors
- NOC 31301 – Registered nurses and registered psychiatric nurses
- NOC 32101 – Licensed practical nurses
- NOC 33102 – Nurse aides, orderlies and patient service associates
Once you receive the Notification of Interest, you will get a 45-day window to submit your application under the Ontario Express Entry program.
What are the eligibility criteria for this stream?
To be eligible for the Human Capital Priorities Stream you must:
- Have a valid Express Entry profile under Canadian Experience Class (CEC) or the Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP).
- Your work experience must have been obtained over a period of at least one year – work experience totalling 1,560 hours obtained in less than one year period does not qualify
- You must have a Canadian bachelor’s, master’s or PhD degree or its equivalent in another country. If you completed your studies outside of Canada, you need to obtain an Educational Credential Assessment report that proves your education is equivalent to a Canadian credential.
4. You must be able to understand, read, write and speak either English or French at a Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) level 7 or higher.
5. When settling in Canada, you must have enough money to support yourself and your dependent family members.
6. You must intend to live in Ontario after being granted permanent residence. We determine this by examining your ties to Ontario, which can include things like:
- working or have worked in Ontario
- getting job offers or applying/ interviewing for jobs
- studying
- volunteering
- leasing or owning property
- visiting
- having professional networks and affiliations, family ties and personal relationships
