Canada Express Entry Draw update – Biggest ever draw – 4500 Invitations issued

On February 19, 2020 – Biggest ever Express Entry Draw took place and 4500 Invitations to Apply for Visa were issued by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada under Express Entry and the Comprehensive Ranking System – (CRS) cut-off was 470 for this CRS draw, a downturn of two points from the previous draw held on 5 Feb 2020. As on 14 February 2020 there were around 21,116 candidates in Pool with score of 451 or above as per figures released by IRCC. This is also the largest ever draw in the history of Express Entry, number of invitations issued is 4,500.

Candidates in pool are ranked on a score awarded under the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS), which is calculated based on factors such as Age, Education, Skilled Work Experience and Language proficiency in English or French. A set number of the highest-ranked candidates are invited to apply for Canadian Permanent Residence through regular draws from the pool by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada. Once, candidate receives ITA, they are given 60 days to submit the documents to IRCC. IRCC shall then take approximates 6 months to decide the application.
