On January 8, 2020 the Government of Canada issued 3,400 invitations to apply visa (ITA) in the very first draw of Year 2020 . The Express Entry draw held on January 8, 2020, has a minimum CRS cut-off or CRS Draw 473, an increase of four points over the previous draw held in year 2019. Candidates are issued invitations for Canadian Permanent Residence through regular draw’s, which usually take place every fortnightly.
Candidates in pool are ranked on a score awarded under the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS), which is calculated based on factors such as a=Age, Education, Skilled Work Experience and Language proficiency in English or French.
A set number of the highest-ranked candidates are invited to apply for Canadian Permanent Residence through regular draws from the pool by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada. Once, candidate receives ITA, they are given 60 days to submit the documents to IRCC. IRCC shall then take approximates 6 months to decide the application.
